Finishing Department
Heidelberg ST 350 Stitchmaster
Orchard Press has always believed that its fast and efficient print department is only the start of the process. To keep up with increasing press speed our finishing department has to be just as fast and efficient.
Folding is carried out on our new KH66 Combination Stahlfolder, which is capable of scoring, perforating, endorse-folding and Domino ink-jet coding on the run.
Your catalogues or leaflets are then put together on our Heidelberg ST 350 Stitchmaster, a truly amazing Six-station Saddle-stitcher with Cover feeder.
This machine will scan each sheet of each section. If the wrong section is in the wrong pocket the machine will automatically stop. If one pocket stops feeding - then so do the rest. If any books are out of square or badly cut they will be instantly discarded within set tolerances.
We then neatly box the finished books and apply labels if your print instructions require. The boxes are then loaded onto a pallet and shrink wrapped so your job reaches its destination in perfect condition.
