Before we even have sight of any artwork, we want to make sure we are printing your job in the most effective and efficient way.  That’s why we take time to talk to you about what it is you want to achieve, how your print will need to work, understand who it’s targeted at etc.  To us, it’s more than just ink and paper.

We know about paper.  Our in-depth, specialist knowledge means we can recommend the best stock and weight to suit your project whether it be coated, uncoated or recycled stock.  We have perfected printing on uncoated papers using specially formulated inks.  Having acquired the FSC certification, we work closely with our paper suppliers, and together with the investment in our print floor we can pass savings on to you, the client.

ISO 9001 – Quality Management Standard

ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for the quality management of businesses.  It ensures that the needs of both customers and employees are met, resulting in satisfied customers and a content workforce. As holders of ISO 9001 Orchard Press (Cheltenham) Ltd is committed to high standards and will seek continual improvement.

ISO 12647 – 2 – Colour Reproduction Standard

The ISO 12647 – 2 standard we are working to has been created as an international standard that sets a series of tight guidelines for reproducing colour across the reprographic and printing workflow. It’s a peg in the ground for colour consistency. The specification has targets and measurement settings for every process including different paper types and tackles the differences in printing with different inks, as they all have differing properties.  The result is an improvement in colour consistency, and less waste as digital information, proofs, and printing are all brought together.

Our printing credentials also extend to FSC, PEFC and ISO 14001 environmental certifications.
